Conveniently located in Worthing, Hill Barn Golf Club is a spectacular historic course designed by the legendary Fred Hawtree who designed Royal Birkdale.

The Club has a long and enviable history having hosted many professional tournaments and been graced by names such as Peter Alliss and Tony Jacklin.

Hill Barn Golf Club offers stunning views over the seaside town of Worthing and the English Channel, on a clear day you can see as far as the Isle of Wight. The course is in the South Downs national park and is built on free-draining chalk-based soil.  This offers excellent drainage making Hill Barn Golf Club one of the best all-year-round golf courses in the area.

The course features over 100 well-kept bunkers, ready to catch errant drives or wayward approach shots.  Many golfers who regularly play at Hill Barn will say the greens are superb but beware they feature small breaks which will test golfers of all abilities.

The Club is a family-run affair, owned by Sally and Richard Haygarth, and is known for its friendly, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere.  We look forward to welcoming you very soon.

To complement these wonderous views the course is designed for all golfers, but you will need keen accuracy and a variety of shots to get round in a good score. Well seasoned veterans of the game will certainly not be bored, yet newly starting Golfers shouldn’t be overwhelmed.
